Product review

Hey loves, I decided to post a review on primers that work best for hot climates because… who doesn’t want flawless makeup? Anyway these primers are ones  that I have tried out and some have worked wonderfully others not so much.

To start off, I have normal to combination skin so I tend to get greasy around my t-zone area (from the bridge of my nose to around my cheeks), my eyebrows and around my chin too. The first primer on my list is the L’Oréal infallible mattifying base. On the pack it says that the primer provides a shine free look and enhances the foundation but I don’t think I’ve seen any positive reviews on this primer but still I decided to give it the benefit of doubt; well that didn’t work out how I hoped it would. This primer honestly makes me greasier than usual I didn’t know at first till I made up my mind to know the reason why I kept glowing a.k.a looking like a grease ball before half the day was up and it didn’t take long before I figured it out. So if you have oily skin then by all means avoid this primer especially if you are in Nigeria and don’t want to look like egg can be fried on your face.

The second primer on my list is the NYX pore filler. It says on the pack that it creates a satiny smooth finish and minimizes the appearance of enlarged pores. This primer stays true to its claims because it does help in reducing the appearance of large pores however it doesn’t keep your face matte all day. I’d definitely recommend using a mattifying primer after using this one for minimising your pores.

The last but definitely not the least primer is the ponds lasting oil control instant shine free look vanishing cream (for very oily skin). This primer is the truth guys no jokes. On the pack it says that it contains microabsorbers designed specifically for African skin to neutalize  excess oil and nourish skin deep inside.

If you know ponds as a brand then you know that they produce oil control translucent powders and that their formula is really tight. So it’s no surprise that their primer is this good. I’d definitely recommend this primer for anyone struggling with oily skin or even normal to combination skin for a longer wear of makeup. It costs about 2,800 naira for the 50ml vol and about 4,800 naira for the 100ml. It also has a 2 year warranty so it’s a win win situation.

Thank you guys so much for stopping by please leave your comments below I’d appreciate it.

Xoxo
