Dealing with insomnia!
First off, I don’t usually refer to my self as an insomniac I usually use terms like “night crawler “, “nocturnal ” and the likes of them. But according to research that I have carried out the general name is insomniac. It pretty much sums it all up.
Let’s define it;
insomnia is the inability, especially when chronic to obtain sufficient sleep, through difficulty in falling or staying asleep.
A person who suffers from this is called an insomniac.
Personally, it used to get me frustrated at first but over time I’ve learnt my way around the whole thing and I’ll give a few tips that have worked for me and I hope would help you too.
One:- make the most of it!
It’s usually really quiet at night and for me that’s a bonus because I can think clearly without distractions hence I use the opportunity to do my research and everything is available to me because I don’t have to wait my turn to use the TV remote or get a particular item. I could just go grab it.
Two:– plan your day or week.
As a chronic indecisive human I tend to plan way ahead when it comes to outfits for events so being up at night means I have the time to try on all my possible outfit options and decide which one works best for the occasion. It also helps me set my day plans because if I have to fix a dress I schedule it way ahead and avoid a fashion disaster.
Three:- relax!
In all honesty the world is moving too fast and sometimes it’s difficult to catch a breath. It’s late, everything is slow and people are asleep. Take time to appreciate how far you’ve come. scroll through your gallery, reminisce on events that have happened and you’re grateful for.
Four:- entertain yourself.
Catch up on your favorite shows, your favorite influencers via YouTube and all that good stuff. And if you have a friend that goes through the same issue of insomnia call them up, and maybe have deep conversations. It’s true what they say; people are more open and vulnerable at 3am (lol)
Thank you so much for taking your time to read this post. I hope this helps some one.
Till next time,
Xoxo,
Cookie.

Lol, it’s refreshing to see that someone can relate. ❣️❣️
I'm sure you know
Cooks cooks. 🙆
I totally understand your situation.
I’m a chronic insomniac. Prolly the king.
Here’s another tip. Read a book. Preferably a boring one or a school book.
You’re either studying or falling back asleep.
